Rachit Singh Credits Director Nachiket Samant's Composed Approach for Grounded Performance in Baby Do Die Do

Actor Rachit Singh is preparing for his much-awaited portrayal of Siddhu in the forthcoming film Baby Do Die Do, arriving in cinemas on July 3. In the lead-up to the release, Singh discussed his time on set and commended director Nachiket Samant for bringing a serene, assured approach to filmmaking that enabled him to deliver an authentic, naturalistic performance.

Setting a Calm Creative Atmosphere

Film productions can frequently become hectic environments, yet Singh observed that Samant's tranquil temperament fundamentally shifted the tone of the set. By fostering an atmosphere free from tension, the director enabled performers to maintain their focus and emotional connection to their roles.

Singh reflected on his collaboration, stating: "Working with Nachi was actually very relaxed because he is very chill and calm. No matter what is happening on set, he does not panic, and that energy really helps you as an actor to stay grounded and be present in the moment."

Samant's directorial philosophy emphasizes clarity over elaboration. Singh elaborated: "He talks very less, but he gives you a word or a few pointers that really help you understand the scene, increase its stakes, and understand the character better."

Rather than insisting on extensive rehearsal, Samant champions spontaneity and responsiveness. Singh noted: "For him, it is not about too much preparation; it is about being in the moment, listening, taking directions, and letting the scene happen naturally."

A Significant Departure: The Character of Siddhu

In Baby Do Die Do, Singh takes on the role of Siddhu, a committed musician and music instructor defined by his fundamental decency and steadfast devotion to those close to him.

This part represents a notable shift for Singh, revealing a gentler and more emotionally resonant dimension of his abilities. The character stands in stark contrast to his earlier work, particularly his portrayal of the brooding, morally ambiguous Viren in the acclaimed series Thamma.
