Ajith Mohan Karimpana stands at the helm of Furlenco, India's fastest-growing furniture and home living subscription enterprise. A seasoned entrepreneur with a sharp eye for identifying transformational market opportunities, Karimpana established Furlenco as India's first and only fully technology-enabled subscription platform in the home living sector.

Before venturing into entrepreneurship, Karimpana spent seven years working with leading financial institutions. Between 2004 and 2011, he held various senior positions at Morgan Stanley and Goldman Sachs, gaining substantial experience in the corporate finance sector. However, his entrepreneurial ambitions eventually took precedence over his successful banking career.

In October 2011, Karimpana launched Rent Ur Duniya, which was subsequently rebranded as Furlenco in 2012. The company pioneered a novel approach to furniture access through an on-demand rental model. Leveraging his professional background and technical acumen, Karimpana built a portfolio of premium designer furniture and home décor offerings that appealed to contemporary consumers.

The foundation of Karimpana's strategy for Furlenco rested on recognising two significant consumer trends of the modern era: increasing purchasing power among Indian households and a growing appetite for experiential consumption patterns, particularly among younger demographics. By combining these market insights with technological innovation, he positioned Furlenco to capture this emerging segment. Under Karimpana's direction, Furlenco has achieved remarkable growth, expanding at a compound annual growth rate of 130 percent.

Karimpana holds a Bachelor of Technology degree in Industrial Engineering from the National Institute of Technology, Jalandhar. He completed postgraduate studies at Temple University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, earning a Master of Science in Computer and Information Science. Beyond his business pursuits, Karimpana is an avid reader with a passion for languages and enjoys Bollywood cinema.
