Minister Ponnam Prabhakar Reviews Paddy Procurement Operations in Koheda

Transport and BC Welfare Minister Ponnam Prabhakar visited the paddy procurement facility at Baswapur village in Koheda mandal as part of his tour through Husnabad constituency, where he conducted an on-site inspection of operations.

During the visit, farming community members brought several operational issues to the minister's attention. They flagged concerns regarding procurement delays and difficulties with transportation arrangements at the centre.

The minister promptly engaged with District Collector Haimavathi via telephone to address the complaints. He instructed district officials to take steps ensuring that farmers face no obstacles while conducting business at procurement facilities.

Among the directives issued by Ponnam Prabhakar was an instruction to officials to maintain adequate supplies of bardana bags and tarpaulin sheets for farmers delivering paddy. He further ordered authorities to maintain consistent lorry scheduling and to expedite the transportation of filled paddy consignments without unnecessary delays.

The minister emphasised the importance of maintaining efficient procurement workflows and called on officials to eliminate bottlenecks that could hinder farming communities within the constituency.
