Revenue Minister Urges New Deputy Collectors to Embrace Public Service With Integrity

Hyderabad: Revenue Minister Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy has charged 44 newly selected Group-1 probationary deputy collectors with the responsibility of serving the public with unwavering sincerity and dedicating themselves to welfare initiatives.
The cohort of probationary officers, drawn from various districts across the state, convened with the minister on Thursday to receive guidance as they embark on their careers in civil administration.
Speaking to the gathering, Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy acknowledged that these officers had earned their positions through rigorous competition and demonstrated discipline and perseverance. He challenged them to establish credibility in their roles by upholding honest administrative practices and placing citizens at the centre of their decision-making.
The minister emphasised that revenue officials occupy a critical position within the governance structure, particularly in their capacity to respond swiftly to public complaints and address citizen grievances with efficiency. He underscored the importance of coordinating seamlessly across departmental lines while executing their administrative mandates.
Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy advised the officers to ensure that their policy decisions prioritise the welfare of marginalised and economically disadvantaged communities. He further encouraged them to approach professional obstacles with self-assurance and dedication, viewing challenges as opportunities for growth.

The event was attended by Legislative Council Chairman Gutta Sukhender Reddy and Social Welfare Minister Adluri Laxman Kumar, alongside other senior government functionaries.
