Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy has announced a shift in governance approach toward direct grievance resolution, eliminating the need for citizens to navigate multiple administrative offices to address their concerns.

During a Praja Darbar held in Kusumanchi, Khammam district, on Sunday, the minister received petitions from residents alongside district collector Divakar T.S. and additional collector Dr P. Sreeja. Officials were instructed to process all grievances without delay.

The minister characterised the new approach as bringing governance directly to the public. Officials now collect applications on-site and act upon them promptly, with each petition receiving thorough examination to ensure swift resolution, he stated.

In the Paleru constituency, authorities have reorganised mandals into clusters specifically for conducting Praja Darbars. Reddy assured residents that officials would address all legitimate requests impartially, regardless of political considerations.

Focus on Long-Standing Issues

A priority area involves resolving protracted land disputes, including Sada Bainama cases and contested claims related to prohibited land lists. The minister credited the 99-day Prajapalana plan with enhancing welfare service delivery, emphasising that channelling benefits to all eligible recipients remains a core objective.

Applications received at these public hearings frequently concern Indiramma housing schemes. Reddy attributed current housing demands partly to delays under the previous administration. To accelerate progress, construction funds are now being transferred to beneficiaries' bank accounts every Monday. The second phase of housing approvals is scheduled for completion by the end of May.

Agricultural and Economic Support

The government is purchasing paddy and maize at Minimum Support Price rates, with payments deposited into farmers' accounts within a week, ensuring timely financial assistance to the agricultural sector.
