BJP Will Form Next Telangana Government, Modi Asserts at Secunderabad Rally

Hyderabad: Prime Minister Narendra Modi projected confidence on Sunday that his party would secure power in Telangana, contending that residents across the state are seeking fresh political direction.
Speaking at a public gathering held by the Telangana BJP at Secunderabad's Parade Grounds, Modi asserted that constituents had grown disenchanted with both the Congress and the BRS. He emphasized that the BJP's track record in recent electoral contests demonstrated mounting public backing for the party's development agenda and administrative approach.
"This time, the people of Telangana are also expressing that it will be the BJP's opportunity in the state," Modi stated.
The Prime Minister underscored Telangana's historical significance in the BJP's political trajectory. He noted that when the party held merely two parliamentary seats nationally, one of its earliest legislators had emerged from this region. Modi contended that India's progress hinges on the advancement of its constituent states, positioning Telangana and Hyderabad as essential to realizing the vision of a developed India by 2047.
Referring to infrastructure and industrial undertakings unveiled during his visit, Modi emphasized their potential to generate jobs and bolster industrial expansion. He specifically highlighted the Zaheerabad industrial corridor and the PM MITRA textile park in Warangal as significant employment sources. The Prime Minister also disclosed that the Centre had greenlit a fresh cotton mission targeting improved yield and quality, anticipated to benefit Telangana's cotton cultivators.
Modi launched an offensive against the Congress, alleging the party makes grandiose pre-election commitments it subsequently abandons upon taking office. He further charged the party with promoting divisive politics. The Prime Minister noted that Telangana was progressively distancing itself from Maoist influences and promised that a BJP administration would pursue the state's development with "new vision and renewed commitment."
Addressing broader economic headwinds stemming from volatile fuel costs, supply chain complications, and international tensions, Modi called on citizens to curtail petrol and diesel consumption and embrace public transportation. He also appealed to the public to champion locally-produced goods and advance natural farming practices while reducing reliance on chemical inputs.
The rally was attended by Union Ministers G. Kishan Reddy and Bandi Sanjay Kumar, Telangana BJP president N. Ramchander Rao, BJP OBC Morcha president K. Laxman, and BJP national vice-president D. K. Aruna. Traffic management measures were implemented across multiple Hyderabad routes during the Prime Minister's presence.
