Cyberabad Commissioner Reviews Anjaiah Nagar Ward Under One Ward Every Day Programme

Hyderabad: The Cyberabad Municipal Corporation's Commissioner visited Anjaiah Nagar ward in the Whitefield locality of Madhapur Circle, Kukatpalli Zone, to evaluate civic infrastructure, sanitation conditions, and traffic management under the One Ward Every Day initiative.
The field assessment included the Deputy Commissioner and circle-level staff who examined various civic challenges across the ward. Resident welfare associations were engaged during the visit to understand community concerns and identify priorities for immediate action.
Infrastructure and Road Development
The inspection focused on road expansion and footpath improvements between Ramalayam and Kothaguda Junction. Plans for a graveyard development near a traffic bottleneck at Trendset Jayabheri were also reviewed. Officials proposed establishing a themed play area beneath the flyover to enhance both public access and community utility.
During the visit, encroachments obstructing footpaths were removed. Street vendors were checked for compliance with the "No Bin – No Trade" regulation.
Traffic Safety Measures
The team reviewed road-widening efforts on the route toward Gachibowli to reduce traffic congestion. Coordination with Traffic Police resulted in plans for no-honking zones, racing prevention measures, and enhanced school bus safety protocols.
Junction improvements and turning points received attention, with officials ordering urgent repairs to potholes and surface damage. Mirrors will be installed at blind curves, and streetlight conditions were assessed to ensure adequate night-time visibility.
Sanitation and Utilities
Authorities directed the removal of loose cable bundles and initiated marking and removal of long-abandoned vehicles. A coordinated inspection with Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board officials addressed drainage complications, with instructions for prompt resolution.
The central median was reviewed for traffic flow optimization. Door-to-door waste collection practices were evaluated for consistency and reliability. Authorities identified Garbage Vulnerable Points and directed staff to implement preventive measures.
Ongoing projects under the 99 Days Action Plan were monitored, with the Commissioner emphasizing strict adherence to schedules and acceleration of delayed initiatives. The programme aims to resolve neighbourhood issues through direct participation and systematic ground-level supervision.
