TVS Motor Reaches Million-Unit Milestone with iQube Electric Scooter

Bengaluru — TVS Motor Company has achieved a major production milestone with the rollout of its one millionth TVS iQube from its manufacturing facility in Hosur. The accomplishment signals India's advancing commitment to sustainable and self-reliant electric mobility solutions.

The electric scooter has emerged as a significant contributor to India's transition towards cleaner transportation. As the country pursues its development agenda, electric mobility is increasingly recognized as essential for sustainable growth, energy efficiency and technological advancement. TVS Motor, as a leading manufacturer of two and three-wheelers, has positioned itself at the forefront of this transformation through continuous investments in domestic research and development, product design and manufacturing infrastructure.

The iQube represents a commitment to indigenous development and global quality standards. Engineered and manufactured entirely within India, the scooter combines local technological expertise with international performance benchmarks and environmental sustainability principles.

Launched in 2020, the iQube has expanded into a diverse product range featuring multiple battery configurations and connectivity options designed to meet varying consumer preferences. The brand's distribution network comprises more than 3,300 service and sales locations across more than 3,000 cities, supported by ongoing investments in production capacity.

The iQube user base has generated substantial environmental benefits. Collectively, riders have covered over 14.94 billion kilometres since the scooter's introduction, preventing approximately 522,969 tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions. This carbon reduction is equivalent to the environmental benefit of planting approximately 20.9 million trees, demonstrating how individual transportation choices can contribute meaningfully to national sustainability and energy transition objectives.
