Nutrition NXT Launches Premium Feline Nutrition Range and Functional Supplements for Indian Pet Market

Hyderabad—Pet care startup Nutrition NXT has introduced a new line of premium feline nutrition products alongside functional supplements, marking a significant expansion into the growing Indian pet care sector.

The company unveiled PARENT™ Kitten and Adult Food formulations for cats, complemented by BONUS, a range of specialised soft chew treats for dogs. The feline offerings include a Tuna-flavoured Kitten formula with high bioavailable protein and goat milk designed for growth, as well as an Ocean Fish and Chicken flavoured adult formula for cats aged one year and above, formulated to support heart health through taurine content and reduce hairball formation with elevated fibre levels while maintaining urinary pH balance.

The BONUS line addresses specific canine health concerns through targeted variants: Gut Health, Skin & Coat, Hip & Joint chews, Multivitamin, and Calcium bones. These supplements aim to support digestion, coat quality, joint mobility, bone strength, and immune function in dogs.

Nutrition NXT's formulation team comprises experienced professionals from both the United States and India, working in collaboration with leading global research institutions. The company's approach integrates advances in pet nutrition science, biochemistry, and animal wellness to develop nutritionally balanced products suited to India's climate while meeting international standards.

According to Praharsha Cherukury, Founder and CEO of Nutrition NXT, the company recognised a significant market gap. "There is a shortage of products designed for specific life stages in India, and our Research and Development team is there to bridge that gap with love, expertise, and a deep respect for what pets truly need," Cherukury stated. "Cats have very distinct nutritional needs, and PARENT is committed to meeting them with the same rigour and care that has defined the PARENT dog food range."

All formulations meet AAFCO (Association of American Feed Control Officials) standards and have been developed by U.S.-based animal nutritionists and veterinarians, ensuring products are tailored for Indian conditions while adhering to international nutritional benchmarks.

Dr Venkata Dharmendra Boppana, Co-founder and Chief Mentor, brings over 25 years of research expertise in veterinary immunology, holding a PhD in veterinary science. The company ensures rigorous quality standards across its entire product portfolio.

The expansion comes as India's pet care market experiences rapid growth. The overall market is projected to reach approximately $8.6 billion by 2027, growing at a compound annual growth rate of 5.24%. The Pet Food and Treats segment specifically is estimated to reach a market size of roughly $2.52 billion during this period.

Within its first year of operations, Nutrition NXT has established a presence across five major metropolitan regions: Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Pune, Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai, and Bengaluru. The company is constructing a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Wargal, Telangana, expected to become operational by the end of fiscal year 2027.
