Mygate Introduces Safe Pickup Mode to Protect Resident Privacy at Gated Communities

Mygate, India's leading gated community technology platform, has unveiled Safe Pickup Mode, a new capability aimed at strengthening privacy protections and security when residents arrange ride pickups within gated societies.

The new feature responds to recurring concerns raised by residents, especially women, who felt uncomfortable revealing their flat numbers to cab drivers stationed at society gates awaiting security clearance. The traditional process required drivers to communicate the resident's flat number to security staff in order to receive Mygate approval, frequently resulting in unintended disclosure of personal details.

Safe Pickup Mode eliminates this requirement entirely. When residents activate the feature during cab pre-approval, the verification process relies exclusively on the vehicle's registration number. Drivers receive information about the tower only, ensuring flat numbers stay confidential and are not shared with security personnel or drivers, while preserving smooth and secure gate entry.
