BJP Must Refocus on Telangana Development, Says Nabin at Nine Office Inaugurations

Hyderabad: During a visit to Telangana on Sunday, BJP National President Nitin Nabin inaugurated nine district offices spanning Ranga Reddy Rural, Adilabad, Asifabad, Nirmal, Kamareddy, Siddipet, Medak, Wanaparthy and Nagarkurnool, emphasizing that political work must be rooted in principles of service, sacrifice and commitment rather than the pursuit of power and personal gain.

The event drew substantial participation from party cadres across the state. Nabin described the newly established offices as "Sankalpa Kendras"—centers embodying the BJP's ideological vision—and "Seva Kendras" designed to serve the community. He stressed that these facilities would serve as focal points for workers committed to the party's foundational maxim: "Nation First, Party Next, Self Last."

Addressing the gathering, Nabin paid homage to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, those who sacrificed their lives in the Telangana statehood movement, and former BJP leader Sushma Swaraj, whose parliamentary advocacy championed the state's cause.

Nabin contended that despite Telangana's formation as a state, the aspirations of those who fought for its creation remain unmet. He positioned the BJP as bearing the mantle of fulfilling these unfulfilled objectives.

Responding to allegations that the BJP operates as an external force in Telangana politics, Nabin pointed to the party's historical roots in the region, noting that one of two Lok Sabha members elected from the party in 1984 hailed from Telangana. He also acknowledged senior party members who endured repression and prolonged organizing efforts to establish the BJP's organizational presence.

Launching a forceful critique of the Congress and regional political formations, Nabin accused these parties of practicing expedient politics. He charged that Congress benefited electorally from agitations mounted by BJP activists against the previous administration, yet failed to deliver competent governance upon assuming office.

Nabin called on party workers to undertake grassroots mobilization across villages and neighborhoods, organizing democratic public campaigns against the current Congress administration. He expressed conviction that the BJP would strengthen its political foothold in Telangana through sustained effort, drawing parallels to the party's expansion in West Bengal.

Discussing the Modi government's performance, Nabin highlighted India's advancement through unity under the framework of "Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat." He noted that the administration was working to actualize the ideals of Dr. Syama Prasad Mukherjee, implement Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya's concept of Antyodaya, and uphold former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee's governance model.

The event was attended by BJP Telangana State President N. Ramchander Rao, National General Secretary and State In-charge Sunil Bansal, State In-charge Abhay Patil, BJP Co-in-charge for Tamil Nadu and Karnataka Ponguleti Sudhakar Reddy, State Organisational General Secretary Chandrashekhar Tiwari, Legislative Party Leader Aaleti Maheshwar Reddy, MP Konda Vishweshwar Reddy and Ranga Reddy Rural District President Raj Bhupal Goud.
