Hyderabad Man Arrested for High-Speed Stunt Driving on ORR, Video Posted to Instagram

Narsingi police have apprehended a private sector worker in connection with a dangerous driving incident on Hyderabad's Outer Ring Road involving speeds surpassing 200 kmph.
The accused, identified as a 32-year-old from Puppalaguda, was operating a recently acquired Volkswagen Virtus when the incident occurred on the ORR stretch between Narsingi and TGPA toll plazas. He filmed himself performing the high-speed maneuver and subsequently shared the footage on Instagram under the account name "Yashwanth Reddy".
Investigators noted that the reckless driving created significant hazards for other road users and personnel stationed at the toll plaza. The vehicle has been confiscated as part of the investigation.
Narsingi police have registered charges under Sections 125 and 281 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) against the accused.
Law enforcement officials emphasized that stunt driving and the subsequent distribution of such content on social media platforms pose grave public safety risks. The police department has issued a cautionary notice to all motorists, urging them to refrain from dangerous driving practices undertaken for online engagement and content creation.
Authorities have indicated that stringent legal measures will be pursued against those who create and disseminate similar videos online. The investigation into the matter remained ongoing as of Sunday.
