Hyderabad — A significant milestone was reached in Telangana's dairy sector as the Nalgonda-Ranga Reddy Districts Milk Producers Mutually Aided Cooperative Union Limited (NARMUL) formalised a tripartite agreement with the National Dairy Development Board (NDDB).

The partnership, which spans 15 years, is designed to bolster dairy development across the state. Under the arrangement, the NDDB will take charge of dairy development initiatives throughout this period.

A substantial Rs 10 crore has been allocated by the NDDB in its opening phase, earmarked specifically for clearing the outstanding payments owed to dairy farmers.

The agreement was formally signed by representatives from the Telangana Dairy Development Department and officials from the NDDB, with several senior figures witnessing the occasion. Animal Husbandry, Dairy Development, Fisheries, Youth Services and Sports Minister Vakiti Srihari was present at the event. Government Whip Beerla Ilaiah, Secretary Ilambarthi, and Mother Dairy Chairman Madhusudan Reddy also attended the programme.

According to those involved in the agreement, the partnership is expected to reinforce dairy infrastructure and establish stronger assistance mechanisms for milk producers across the region. The collaboration aims to create a more robust support system that will benefit farmers in the cooperative union.

The tripartite framework brings together government agencies and cooperative bodies to ensure coordinated development of the dairy sector in Telangana.
