Malkajgiri Police Mee Suraksha Campaign Surpasses 18,000 Domestic Worker Registrations

Hyderabad's Malkajgiri Police have reported significant uptake for their Mee Suraksha campaign, which has seen more than 18,000 residents voluntarily enrol their domestic workers and household support staff.
The drive seeks to bolster safety in homes and residential areas by establishing a systematic verification and registration process for domestic helpers. Police officials have positioned the initiative as a mechanism to strengthen security protocols across neighbourhoods and colonies.
Registration numbers across the commissionerate's three zones paint a picture of widespread participation. Malkajgiri Zone recorded 8,771 enrollments, Uppal Zone logged 4,837, and LB Nagar Zone registered 4,805 individuals. These figures combine to reach a total of 18,413 registrations.
The scope of the campaign encompasses multiple categories of household workers. Maids, drivers, caretakers, gardeners, and private security personnel are all being registered as part of the programme. Enrolment drives continue at police stations throughout the commissionerate.
Police have framed the Mee Suraksha drive as a community-focused safety measure, emphasizing that voluntary registration of domestic staff can strengthen verification frameworks and enhance overall public security. Officials have described the campaign as contributing towards safer family units and more secure communities.
Malkajgiri Police have appealed to additional residents to participate in the initiative and ensure their domestic workers are enrolled in the system.
