MaskTV Launches 'Ashqiya Ishqiya' Series on Redesigned Streaming Platform

Mumbai — Streaming platform MaskTV has unveiled its latest original production, Ashqiya Ishqiya, a six-part family drama marking a renewed commitment to character-focused narratives with emotional depth. The series, produced by Anju Bhatt and Chiranjeevi Bhatt, is centred in the urban locale of Khategaon and chronicles the shifting dynamics between a father named Ramnath and his daughter Raano.
The narrative takes a pivotal turn when a man named Salim enters Raano's life, setting in motion a sequence of events driven by love and ambition. The characters' subsequent decisions threaten family bonds, their social position within the community, and fundamental truths. Among the layered themes explored by the series is the socially contentious subject of "love jihad," examining how such relationships can reshape and redefine prevailing social perspectives. As secrets come to light, the repercussions become both profound and permanent.
Channel Producer Mansie Bhatt commented on the release: "With Ashqiya Ishqiya, we are bringing forward a story that dares to explore uncomfortable truths. It reflects how relationships, beliefs, and societal narratives are constantly evolving, and how certain realities are often hidden or ignored. Through this series, we are not just telling a story, but also presenting perspectives that question and reshape narratives."
The release coincides with MaskTV's launch of its newly redesigned application, which the platform describes as enhanced and engineered to deliver an improved viewing experience. Viewers can now access Ashqiya Ishqiya directly through the MaskTV app. Bhatt further noted that the company has multiple projects in development and remains dedicated to producing substantive, resonant storytelling moving forward.
