Maruti Suzuki Staff Volunteer Over 2,600 Hours, Reaching 8,700 People Through eParivartan Programme
Maruti Suzuki India Limited announced that its workforce has channeled more than 2,600 volunteer hours into community initiatives during the fiscal year 2025–26 through its eParivartan programme, creating a positive impact on the lives of approximately 8,700 people.
The company mobilized more than 1,100 employees who participated in over 30 community-focused activities spanning health, community support, education, and youth development.
Healthcare and Community Support Initiatives
Throughout FY 2025–26, Maruti Suzuki staff organized four blood donation camps at company offices and manufacturing sites. Volunteers also assembled wheelchairs from kits supplied by the organization, which were subsequently distributed to shelter homes and care facilities.
Beyond medical contributions, employees provided essential supplies including food, medicines, dry rations, and personal care items to residents of shelter homes. The company also facilitated companionship programmes connecting workers with elderly and marginalized community members, emphasizing dignity and meaningful social engagement.
Education and Youth Development Activities
The volunteering efforts encompassed educational outreach to disadvantaged young people. A notable initiative involved organizing facility tours at Maruti Suzuki's Manesar manufacturing plant, exposing children to large-scale industrial operations and enabling them to interact with company personnel—experiences designed to broaden horizons and inspire educational aspirations.
Throughout the year, volunteers conducted inclusive activities and creative sessions with specially-abled children. Staff members also worked with visually impaired students, providing learning support and distributing Braille educational kits.
A "Wish Tree" initiative allowed employees to fulfill requests from over 300 underprivileged students by providing school supplies, writing materials, learning resources, and recreational items, combining immediate gratification with educational encouragement.
Volunteers additionally participated in school beautification projects, painting more than 1,400 square feet of wall space in government schools located in Manesar and Gurugram, contributing to more engaging educational environments.
Company Perspective
Rahul Bharti, Senior Executive Officer of Corporate Affairs at Maruti Suzuki, commented on the initiative: "At Maruti Suzuki, we believe progress is meaningful only when it is shared with the communities around us. We are happy to share that in FY 2025–26, over 1,100 Maruti Suzuki employees volunteered more than 2,600 hours, supporting more than 8,700 people in education, healthcare, or companionship. We don't know how much difference we have made to the lives of these people, but we do know that the Maruti Suzuki volunteers have found it an immensely fulfilling, soul-warming, and life-changing experience."
The company frames its broader community engagement around three pillars: road safety, skill development, and community advancement. Beyond employee volunteering, Maruti Suzuki undertakes various community development programmes in healthcare, education, and infrastructure, working in partnership with local organizations to foster inclusive and sustainable progress.
