Maruti Suzuki Ramps Up Production With Second Plant Operational at Kharkhoda

Maruti Suzuki India Limited has started commercial production at its second manufacturing facility in Kharkhoda, located in Haryana, marking a significant expansion of its production footprint.
The newly operational plant will produce 2.5 lakh vehicles annually, doubling the Kharkhoda complex's total capacity to 5 lakh units per year. This expansion increases Maruti Suzuki's combined manufacturing capacity across all its plants to 26.5 lakh units annually. The company operates facilities in Gurugram, Manesar, and Kharkhoda in Haryana, as well as in Hansalpur, Gujarat.
When the Kharkhoda facility reaches full operational status, it is positioned to become one of Suzuki's four largest global manufacturing hubs, with the capability to produce up to 1 million vehicles each year.
The expansion aligns with Maruti Suzuki's previously announced strategy to add 5 lakh units of production capacity during the financial year 2026–27. The second plant at Kharkhoda represents the first phase of this capacity enhancement initiative.
Currently, the facility manufactures two key models for the Indian market: the Brezza compact SUV and the Victoris mid-sized SUV. These vehicles have gained considerable traction among Indian consumers seeking affordable yet feature-rich sport utility options.
