MANUU Hosts Training Programme on Modern Pedagogy for Madrasa Educators in Karimnagar

Hyderabad: The Maulana Azad National Urdu University recently conducted a professional development workshop targeting madrasa educators at Shaheen Girls College in Karimnagar. The initiative, titled "Pedagogy for Madrasa," was organised by MANUU's Centre for Professional Development of Urdu Medium Teachers to introduce instructors to contemporary teaching methodologies and digital learning resources.
The workshop sought to strengthen pedagogical skills among madrasa faculty members to meet evolving educational standards. Participants engaged with sessions addressing instructional strategies, classroom engagement techniques, and approaches to effective curriculum implementation.
A significant component of the programme involved hands-on training in artificial intelligence applications for educational contexts. Attendees learned about platforms including ChatGPT, Gemini, Canva, and NotebookLM, exploring their potential classroom applications.
The resource persons guiding the workshop included Professor Sami Siddiqui, Dr Sheikh Waseem, Dr Sirajuddin Qasmi, and Dr Umar Farooq from MANUU. Afzal, Director of Shaheen College, also addressed the gathering and offered perspectives on contemporary teaching practices.
The session featured interactive components, with educators participating in discussion forums and practical demonstrations. Attendees responded positively to the content, with many noting its relevance and advocating for continued professional development opportunities in the sector.
Certificates were distributed to participants upon completion, and organisers extended appreciation to all facilitators, speakers, and attendees who contributed to the programme's success.
