Congress Will Return to Power at Centre, Says TPCC Chief Mahesh Goud

Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee chief Mahesh Kumar Goud has expressed confidence that his party will reclaim power at the national level, dismissing the current political climate as divisive.
Speaking to journalists on Wednesday, Goud levelled sharp criticism at the ruling BJP, contending that its political strategy hinges on deepening societal fractures along caste and religious lines. He argued that such polarizing tactics have sown discord throughout the country.
The Congress leader threw his weight behind Rahul Gandhi, noting that citizens are increasingly turning to the party for direction as anxieties mount across the nation. Goud emphasized that Congress presents a substantive alternative programme to voters.
"The Congress rule at the Centre is certainly achievable whenever elections take place," Goud asserted, underscoring his belief in the party's viability as a national force. He maintained that the party remains committed to bridging communities rather than fragmenting them, contrasting this with what he characterized as the BJP's corrosive approach to governance.
Goud also trained his sights on former Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao, accusing the BRS leader of evading inquiries connected to his daughter K. Kavitha. He stressed that opposition parties have a democratic obligation to address public queries and concerns.
The Congress leader reaffirmed his party's resolve to persistently highlight matters of public importance in the coming period.
