Storybooks Summer Camps and Creative Exhibitions Launched to Foster Reading Culture Among Children

Hyderabad: The Little Hope Trust has launched the "Storybooks Summer Camps" alongside Children's Creative Exhibitions hosted at Adarsha Tuition Centres, aiming to cultivate a love for reading and encourage artistic expression among young learners.
The programme is structured to enhance imagination, foster creative thinking, and build self-assurance in children through engagement with literature and structured educational activities. According to organisers, these elements work together to support holistic child development.
At the exhibitions, children showcased their artistic talents through clay sculptures, hand-drawn maps, illustrations, and various handcrafted pieces. The displays drew considerable interest and commendation from event attendees and visitors.
In a broader effort to improve book accessibility for children across the region, Little Hope Trust has established 44 libraries throughout Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. Manikonda Jones, one of the organisers, emphasised the transformative power of literature, stating: "A good book in a child's hand can transform the way of thinking. Positive thoughts shape a better future because our thoughts build our lives."
The Trust acknowledged financial contributions from Sri Ram Sudana Garu, Dr. Shiva Jasti Garu, and Dr. C.V. Prasad Garu. Recognition was also extended to Bloom With Books and Learn & Help for their collaborative support in delivering the initiative.
Pavithra VS, a teacher and volunteer associated with Manchi Pustakam, served as chief guest and distributed books and stationery to participating children. She urged students to pursue their studies with dedication and confidence.
Sujatha, the Telangana Coordinator for Little Hope Trust, led the programme's organisation and execution.
The camps featured a diverse range of activities designed to engage children comprehensively. These included karate training, recreational games, storytelling sessions, reading workshops, creative skill-building exercises, and personality development modules.
During the event, Dondapati Samuel Pradeep and his children contributed stationery kits to 50 children, a gesture that organisers recognised as a meaningful addition to the child welfare efforts. The programme concluded with an inspirational message: "Let us brighten the future of children through books."
