Libas Launches #NotJustASunday Campaign Urging Young Professionals to Prioritize Time with Mothers

New Delhi: Libas, the ultra-fast fashion brand popular across India, has launched a Mother's Day initiative called #NotJustASunday that addresses the growing emotional disconnect between busy young professionals and their mothers in an age of constant work demands.

The campaign centres on a digital film showcasing candid testimonials from Libas staff members discussing their work habits and relationships with their mothers. The footage highlights how workplace communications often take precedence, while meaningful personal connections gradually slip down the priority list.

Internal research at Libas provided striking data on this phenomenon. The company's survey found that 82% of employees reply to work-related messages within half an hour, whereas only 46% extend the same promptness to messages from their mothers. The findings also showed that while staff regularly acknowledge their colleagues' efforts, just 59% make a point of regularly expressing gratitude to their mothers.

"People connect with campaigns that feel genuine and touch the heart," said Nisha Khatri, Head of Marketing at Libas. "Our goal with #NotJustASunday was to shift the conversation beyond surface-level Mother's Day tributes and emphasize the value of staying connected on an everyday basis. Often, a single phone call can brighten a mother's entire day."

Beyond its digital presence, the brand collaborated with Winston to offer free styling consultations for mothers and daughters visiting the Lajpat Nagar location. The store also created a dedicated retail section called "Mom Would Love This" showcasing curated collections intended for mothers.

The campaign introduced a distinctive element termed "Maa's Unpaid Bill," which symbolically represented all the unquantifiable contributions mothers make—from late-night check-ins to quiet emotional strength—each assigned a value of INR 0. The initiative extended to social platforms through a contest encouraging customers to post their stories of honouring their mothers throughout the year.

Fundamentally, #NotJustASunday serves as a call to action that despite increasingly hectic schedules, meaningful relationships flourish through consistent attention, presence, and devoted time.
