Left Student Unions Meet KTR, Seek His Participation in NEET Leak Conference

Hyderabad: Student leaders from Left-affiliated unions held discussions with BRS working president and MLA K. T. Rama Rao at his Nandini Nagar residence on Saturday, extending an invitation to a forthcoming conference addressing the NEET (UG) paper leak allegations.

The meeting preceded a round-table conference set for May 20 in the city. BRSV state vice president Dr. Thunga Balu facilitated the engagement, which centered on purported irregularities affecting national-level competitive examinations.

The student representatives underscored how the alleged NEET paper leak has triggered significant distress among millions of students and parents nationwide. They contended that successive examination paper leaks under the current national government have undermined public confidence in the examination framework, with particular gravity in medical education and professional course sectors.

The Joint Action Committee of Left student unions is organizing the conference, bringing together representatives from AISF, SFI, PDSU, PDSU (Vijrumbhana), GR PDSU, AIDSO, and AIFDS. The participating organizations aim to explore strategies for safeguarding student interests and rectifying examination malpractices, while strengthening institutional transparency and accountability mechanisms in competitive examinations.

The delegation included Gyara Naresh from AISF, Kiran and Ashok Reddy from SFI, and Podipongi Nagaraju and P. Mahesh from PDSU. Dr. S. Nageswara Rao and N. Sumanth from GR PDSU, along with Alluri Vijay from PDSU-Vijrumbhana, were also part of the meeting.
