Kasarla Padma, who served as councillor representing Ward 27 in Sircilla municipality, died following a heart attack, prompting BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao to journey from Hyderabad to pay his respects.

Upon receiving news of her passing, KTR made his way to Sircilla and visited Padma's residence, where he laid flowers at her mortal remains and conveyed his sympathies to her family members. The occasion drew a number of BRS cadre and party functionaries who came to pay their respects to the elected representative.

Padma's association with the BRS dated back to 2020, when she formally joined the party in the presence of KTR. She initially contested the municipal elections that same year from Ward 27 but was unsuccessful. Subsequently, she won a councillor position and went on to represent her ward in the municipal body.

According to family members, Padma's health began deteriorating approximately ten days prior to her death. She was transferred to a private medical facility in Karimnagar for medical care. Despite receiving treatment at the hospital, she suffered a fatal heart attack while under medical supervision.

Municipal Chairman Jindam Kala Chakrapani, Vice-Chairman Darla Sandeep, BRS town president Jindam Chakrapani, municipal body members, and various party leaders conveyed their condolences following her death. She is survived by two sons and two daughters.
