BRS Chief Visits Former MLA Balka Suman Following His Release on Bail

Hyderabad: The Bharat Rashtra Samithi's working president K.T. Rama Rao visited former MLA Balka Suman shortly after the latter's release on bail from custody. The encounter occurred just one day following Suman's successful bail application in a case that had kept him under judicial remand for 27 days.

In a formal statement, the BRS levelled accusations against the Congress administration, claiming it had pursued fabricated charges against Suman in retaliation for his exposure of what the party described as corruption within Singareni and his advocacy on public concerns. According to the party, Suman faced legal action for his criticism of the government's administrative record.

The BRS contended that the Congress government weaponised the judicial system, employing baseless cases to detain the former legislator for nearly a month. The party further alleged that authorities had resorted to prosecuting opposition figures as a means of stifling dissenting voices.

As of now, the Congress government has remained silent on the BRS allegations and has not issued any official response to the party's claims.
