BRS Leader KTR Condemns Alleged Damage to Historic Kakatiya Temple in Warangal

KT Rama Rao, working president of the Bharatiya Rashtra Samithi (BRS), has levelled serious accusations against the state government regarding damage inflicted upon a centuries-old Kakatiya temple in Warangal district.

Taking to social media, the BRS leader alleged that authorities have damaged an 800-year-old Shiva temple situated near Ashok Nagar in Khanapur mandal. According to KTR, this sacred structure was originally constructed by the Kakatiya rulers, who ruled the region centuries ago.

In his criticism of the Congress administration, KTR contended that state officials have demonstrated a fundamental lack of appreciation for Telangana's historical legacy, cultural traditions, and regional identity. He characterized the alleged damage to the temple as deeply regrettable and called it part of a broader pattern of destruction affecting the district.

The BRS working president further alleged that the administration has already undertaken demolitions of residential structures and removed substantial numbers of trees as part of development initiatives in the area. He expressed concern that historical monuments and heritage sites are now being similarly affected by these ongoing activities.

Calling for immediate intervention, KTR demanded that authorities halt all alleged operations in proximity to the temple complex. He additionally urged the government to undertake restoration work on the Shiva temple without delay.

Emphasizing the significance of preserving the state's historical legacy, KTR stressed that Telangana's cultural heritage and identity must be safeguarded for future generations.
