KTR Calls for Comprehensive Investigation into NEET Examination Paper Leak

Hyderabad: K. T. Rama Rao has levelled sharp criticism at the Union government following the NEET paper leak, calling for a comprehensive investigation and the prompt rescheduling of the examination.
Issuing a statement on Tuesday, the BRS working president characterised the paper leak as a major embarrassment for the NDA administration. He contended that the Centre has failed to ensure the secure conduct of the national eligibility test.
According to KTR, the recurring leaks of examination papers have jeopardised the prospects of approximately 23 lakh students who have prepared rigorously for this year's test across India. He pointed out that the government had not absorbed lessons from a comparable incident in 2024, leading to considerable psychological strain among both students and their guardians.
"More than 100 questions were released the day prior to the examination, revealing profound institutional shortcomings and prompting the cancellation of the test. This persistent failure represents a grave threat to students and their households," KTR stated.
The BRS leader underscored that these recurrent breaches have unveiled substantial weaknesses in the examination framework. He questioned whether the Centre possesses the capability to protect competitive examinations involving hundreds of thousands of participants.
KTR has pressed the Central government to undertake a rigorous investigation into the NEET paper leak and impose stringent penalties on all individuals implicated in the breach.
He has additionally requested that the NEET examination be rescheduled at the earliest opportunity with reinforced security protocols to avert any recurrence of such incidents. The BRS working president maintained that the Centre must assume full accountability for the disruption inflicted on students and their families.
Furthermore, KTR has urged the Union government to tender an apology to students and parents for the distress and apprehension generated by the controversy surrounding the examination.
