BRS Leader Pushes for Immediate Maize Procurement in Warangal

K. T. Rama Rao, working president of the BRS, has demanded that the state government initiate immediate procurement of maize from cultivators across Warangal district.
During a visit to the Ukal Farmers' Cooperative Credit Society in Geesugonda mandal as part of a two-day tour of the erstwhile Warangal district, Rama Rao met with maize farmers to assess their concerns and grievances. He stressed that procurement operations must commence without further delay.
The BRS leader emphasized the importance of ensuring that payments reach farmers' accounts directly, highlighting how prompt financial disbursement is essential for agricultural stability. He pointed to the detrimental impact of procurement delays, noting that such postponements have eroded farmer incomes and left many in precarious circumstances.
Criticizing the government's sluggish response, Rama Rao pledged that the BRS would advocate vigorously for farmers' interests and stand alongside them in their struggle for fair treatment. He underscored that swift governmental action is vital to avert further losses to cultivators.
The visit saw participation from MP Vaddiraju Ravi Chandra and other senior party figures, who also engaged directly with farmers present at the cooperative society. They reiterated calls for the government to address farmer concerns with urgency and resolve.
