Komatireddy Venkat Reddy Oversees Development and Welfare Initiatives at Nalgonda Assembly Meeting

Roads and Buildings Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy convened a Praja Palana review session in Nalgonda district on Saturday, where he assessed progress on constituency-level development schemes and provided guidance to administrative officials and elected representatives.
During the meeting held at Udayaditya Bhavan, the minister emphasised that the state government continues to roll out welfare programmes that extend beyond its original electoral commitments, with citizen welfare serving as the administration's core mandate.
Among the key initiatives discussed, Komatireddy Venkat Reddy highlighted a new nutritional support programme for students across primary and intermediate schools, which will provide ragi malt during morning hours and midday meals in the afternoon. He also unveiled plans to introduce the 'Indiramma Kutumba Jeevana Bima' scheme statewide, designed to provide financial protection to households impacted by accidental deaths.
The minister outlined the government's focus on women's economic participation, citing free public transport access for women and the distribution of sewing machines to trained beneficiaries as part of its empowerment strategy. Efforts to generate employment for jobless youth are being pursued through organised recruitment initiatives and job fairs, with plans to expand vocational training offerings at NAC centres.
On housing infrastructure, Komatireddy Venkat Reddy directed officials to expedite the completion of sanctioned Indiramma houses by the end of May, with beneficiary expansion scheduled for June. He also flagged concerns about payment delays in the paddy procurement cycle and instructed authorities to streamline transportation logistics during procurement operations.
Following the meeting, the minister distributed cheques under the Kalyana Lakshmi and Shaadi Mubarak schemes to eligible recipients. He reiterated the government's commitment to ensuring that development and welfare benefits reach households across Telangana.
