Union Minister for Coal and Mines G. Kishan Reddy has announced that India's Railway Ministry has sanctioned fresh train services designed to strengthen rail connectivity throughout Telangana.

Alongside these new offerings, the Railway Ministry has also formalised multiple express services that traverse the state, connecting it with major destinations across India.

The expanded rail network will enhance passenger access to cities including Tirupati, Okha, Bengaluru, Bidar, Kalaburagi, and Belagavi. The services will additionally link various key stations spread across Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Maharashtra, and Gujarat.

According to Kishan Reddy, the weekly train services are set to enhance traveller experience and fortify interstate rail links for residents of Telangana. The minister credited Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw for their backing of railway infrastructure initiatives in the state.

Describing the development as a pivotal advancement, Kishan Reddy characterised the approvals as instrumental in advancing connectivity and broadening travel options within Telangana.

The Railway Ministry remains committed to expanding transport infrastructure across the region, the minister noted. He highlighted that the newly sanctioned services would facilitate improved connectivity to significant pilgrimage, commercial, and regional hubs.

The fresh train services are particularly significant for passengers commuting between Telangana and adjacent states. The regularisation of several express services operating through Telangana formed part of this latest round of approvals from the Railway Ministry.
