Hyderabad — Union Minister G. Kishan Reddy has urged citizens to participate in large numbers at a BJP public meeting scheduled for May 10 at Parade Grounds in Secunderabad.

The appeal came during a preparatory gathering held under the leadership of BJP district president Vanipalli Srinivas Reddy. Kishan Reddy and Chevella MP Konda Vishweshwar Reddy graced the occasion as principal guests, addressing party cadres and officials present.

During the meeting, the Union Minister announced that Prime Minister Narendra Modi would unveil and commission development initiatives valued at Rs. 8,000 crore during his forthcoming visit to Telangana. These initiatives encompass a petroleum products terminal and infrastructure expansion at AIIMS Bibinagar.

The Centre is also set to commence work on the Kazipet-Vijayawada third railway corridor, alongside launching the Kazipet-Peddapalli bypass railway line project. Additionally, Telangana is slated to receive five Vande Bharat trains as part of the government's infrastructure push.

Several party functionaries, including BJP district general secretary Mahipal Reddy, constituency coordinator Ale Prabhakar Raj, and state spokesperson Maraboyina Ravi Kumar Yadav, addressed the gathering. They emphasized the party's efforts to mobilize significant participation from the Sherilingampally constituency for the Prime Minister's visit.

Senior BJP figure and former MLA Maraboyina Bhikshapathi Yadav was also present at the proceedings.
