Kavitha Attacks CM Revanth Reddy, Calls for Union Minister's Removal

Telangana Rakshana Sena chief Kalvakuntla Kavitha launched a scathing critique of Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on Friday, characterizing him as an "RSS Chief Minister" and calling for Union Minister Bandi Sanjay Kumar to be removed from his Cabinet position.

The remarks came during Kavitha's address at the Way2News Conclave held in Hyderabad. She drew a distinction between her stance during the Telangana statehood movement and her current position, saying she had no quarrel with "Movement KCR" but held contrasting views with both "Chief Minister KCR" and "BRS party chief KCR."

Discussing the Delhi Excise Policy case, Kavitha alleged insufficient backing from her own family members. She revealed that private comments she had made were later disclosed publicly, a development that ultimately prompted her departure from the Bharat Rashtra Samithi.

Kavitha expressed confidence that political power in Telangana would eventually rest with the Telangana Rakshana Sena, irrespective of electoral timing. "My only wish is that my name should remain in history for the good I have done for the people of Telangana," she stated.

The TRS chief attributed her personal and political evolution to difficult experiences and challenging circumstances she has encountered. She established the Telangana Rakshana Sena with the objective of delivering meaningful political transformation across the state, urging citizens to pursue what they believe is correct without seeking external validation.

While acknowledging K. Chandrashekar Rao as a "great human being" who realized Telangana's long-cherished statehood aspirations, Kavitha emphasized that she entered the political arena inspired by B.R. Ambedkar's legacy. She stressed her commitment to advancing change through constitutional and democratic means.

Addressing the broader landscape of women in politics, Kavitha highlighted the disproportionate scrutiny faced by female leaders following setbacks. "The responsibility for the women of our state and the country rests on my shoulders. If I succeed, more women will enter politics with confidence," she emphasized.

She concluded by encouraging young women to resist despair and confront obstacles with constructive determination.
