Kavitha Condemns Revanth Reddy Administration Over Land Acquisition and Demolition Issues

Telangana Rakshana Sena founder Kalvakuntla Kavitha has launched a sharp critique of Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy's government, characterizing his leadership as "vicious" and describing the administration's functioning as "malignant."
The remarks came following a delegation meeting with Governor Jishnu Dev Varma at Raj Bhavan on Tuesday. Representatives from the Telangana Rakshana Sena, Dharma Samaj Party, and families affected by various development projects participated in the discussions.
The delegation presented grievances centered on three key areas: demolitions affecting residents in Velugumatla, land acquisition procedures for the Regional Ring Road project, and proposed development of an industrial park at Kadlapur in Pargi mandal.
Speaking to journalists afterward, Kavitha outlined the concerns raised during the meeting, including worries about modifications to the Regional Ring Road alignment and land seizures in Rayagiri. She also flagged efforts by authorities to acquire land for the Kadlapur Industrial Park initiative.
Kavitha credited the mobilization efforts of both the Telangana Rakshana Sena and Dharma Samaj Party with compelling the government to suspend land acquisition activities for both the Pargi industrial park and the Regional Ring Road scheme. She characterized the government's commitment to allocate replacement land to displaced families in Velugumatla at their original locations as "partial victories" for those impacted by development projects.
Notwithstanding these concessions, Kavitha emphasized that intervention from the national government remains essential to secure comprehensive justice for displaced communities. She noted that the Governor assured the delegation he would request detailed reports from state authorities and pledged to work toward ensuring fair treatment of affected families.
The TRS leader cautioned that if the state government does not resolve these concerns within a reasonable period, the political parties would escalate their campaigns through lawful democratic channels.
