Kavitha emphasises integrity and perseverance at Hyderabad recruitment drive

Telangana Rakshana Sena Chief Kalvakuntla Kavitha has called on job seekers to build their careers on a foundation of diligence and truthfulness, speaking at a recruitment fair held in Hyderabad's Mehdipatnam area at Kings Palace.

The employment event brought together approximately 150 companies looking to fill close to 2,000 positions. Kavitha stressed that success cannot be achieved through shortcuts, and candidates must avoid misrepresenting their abilities or experience during job interviews.

The fair drew applicants from diverse educational backgrounds, including engineering graduates, degree holders, diploma holders, and Class 10 pass-outs. Emphasising that recruitment decisions should rest on genuine merit and verified credentials, Kavitha appealed to employers to maintain hiring standards based on individual qualifications.

Reflecting on her own professional journey, Kavitha recounted her first job interview experience in the United States in 2001. She described how she chose to be transparent about gaps in her knowledge rather than provide inaccurate responses. Instead, she requested a 20-day period to acquire the necessary skills, ultimately securing the position through dedicated preparation.

Kavitha advised candidates to view their first job as a significant turning point and to respond to interview questions with complete honesty. When uncertain about an answer, she suggested that candidates acknowledge their limitations while demonstrating readiness to acquire new competencies.

The TRS chief pointed to freely available online learning resources, particularly YouTube, as valuable tools for skill enhancement. She also highlighted that women constitute approximately 70 percent of students in formal educational institutions, noting this trend suggests expanding employment prospects for women in the coming years.

In her closing remarks, Kavitha encouraged aspirants not to become discouraged by initial setbacks in their job search. She urged them to persist in upgrading their abilities and remain committed to pursuing opportunities.
