Telangana Rakshana Sena Chief Kavitha Challenges Centre on State Issues, Questions Minister's Stage Presence

Hyderabad: Telangana Rakshana Sena president Kavitha has levelled criticism at the Centre over multiple governance issues affecting the state, while simultaneously questioning the appropriateness of Union Minister Bandi Sanjay's involvement in recent central government functions in Telangana.
During her remarks, Kavitha pointed out the apparent contradiction in the Prime Minister's messaging, noting that while PM Modi emphasised fiscal responsibility during his Telangana visit, the Centre simultaneously extended financial assistance to Andhra Pradesh. She contended that Bandi Sanjay should not have shared the stage with the PM given that his family members are currently facing allegations, asserting that such participation conveyed problematic signals to the electorate.
Kavitha called for stringent action in response to the allegations, demanding that Telangana police issue lookout notices to prevent the minister's son from departing the country. She further insisted that Bandi Sanjay should step down from his ministerial position should the allegations against his family be substantiated. Additionally, she urged law enforcement to take action against individuals circulating videos related to the alleged victim on social media platforms, requesting immediate account suspension.
Turning to state-specific concerns, Kavitha criticised the Prime Minister for omitting any discussion of Backward Caste reservations during his Telangana engagement. She pressed Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy to petition the Centre for national project status for the Palamuru-Rangareddy project, emphasising that Andhra Pradesh was making superior use of its water resources compared to Telangana.
The TRS leader outlined her party's agenda, pledging to establish a Water Commission should Telangana Rakshana Sena come to power. She announced plans to undertake a nationwide campaign advocating for 50 percent BC reservations and committed to filing legal petitions concerning the Polavaram and Banakacherla projects.
Kavitha also directed attention to national concerns, urging the Centre to address recurring examination paper leak incidents, specifically citing the NEET examination. She additionally advocated for the inclusion of an OBC category in the national caste census.
