Huzurabad MLA Demands Restoration of KCR Kit Scheme During Hospital Inspection

Huzurabad MLA Padi Kaushik Reddy made an unannounced visit to the Government Hospital in Huzurabad on May 29, 2026, where he inspected facilities and spoke with patients about the quality of medical services available.
During his tour, Kaushik Reddy met with pregnant women and those who had recently given birth, enquiring about their overall health and the standard of care they were receiving at the facility.
The MLA pointed out that the previous BRS administration had distributed KCR Kits to women following delivery. He contended that this scheme was halted after the Congress government assumed office, and he has now called for its immediate restoration.
Addressing hospital staff and officials, Kaushik Reddy emphasized that the State government must reinstate the KCR Kit programme and ensure that eligible women regain access to these benefits.
Beyond the scheme revival, the MLA directed hospital authorities to guarantee the consistent availability of medicines and to eliminate delays that cause hardship to patients. He also emphasized the importance of maintaining hygiene standards across the hospital grounds and delivering quality healthcare to every patient.
Kaushik Reddy cautioned officials against permitting any lapses in patient care and urged medical professionals to remain attentive to community health requirements. He additionally pressed for the procurement of advanced medical equipment and the prompt filling of vacant positions among the medical workforce.
The inspection was accompanied by several BRS party leaders and volunteers.
