K Kavitha Sets Out Four-Point Agenda Ahead of Telangana Cabinet Session

Hyderabad: As the Telangana Cabinet convenes at the State Secretariat on Saturday evening under Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy's leadership, Telangana Rakshana Sena party president K Kavitha has outlined a set of four critical demands for the government's consideration.

Among her key requests, Kavitha has called for the Cabinet to pass a resolution opposing the Polavaram-Banakacherla link project. She has simultaneously urged the government to endorse the Godavari-Cauvery river interlinking initiative, with water sourced from Sammakka Sagar within Telangana's borders.

Following passage of this resolution, Kavitha has demanded that the state government formally communicate its position to Union Minister C R Patil through official correspondence.

On the education front, Kavitha has pressed for the enactment of a fee regulation law, seeking Cabinet approval of the proposal during this meeting with implementation to commence in the current academic year.

Kavitha has also called for the state to reject implementation of the recently introduced labour codes, requesting that the Cabinet adopt a formal resolution rejecting these provisions.

Additionally, she has urged the government to commence distribution of 250-square yard residential plots to recognised Telangana movement activists beginning June 2. Kavitha has emphasized that the state should not delay this process pending the completion of the K K Committee report, and has demanded that all outstanding commitments made to movement activists be fulfilled once the report is submitted.

The Cabinet session is expected to deliberate on various administrative and policy initiatives during the meeting.
