Telangana Minister Emphasizes Daily Exercise as Path to Better Health

Hyderabad: Following a one-hour swimming session at his farmland near Kollapur in Nagarkurnool district, Telangana's Tourism and Culture Minister Jupally Krishna Rao on Sunday called on citizens to prioritize physical fitness, describing robust health as a more valuable possession than material possessions.
The Minister advocated that individuals across all age groups dedicate at least an hour each day to physical activity. He pointed to several exercise options—including yoga, meditation, walking, jogging, running, and swimming—as effective means of enhancing overall health and wellness.
Emphasizing the broader impact of regular physical activity, Jupally Krishna Rao noted that exercise strengthens the body while simultaneously alleviating stress and boosting mental well-being. He underscored that embracing an active lifestyle serves as a preventative measure against numerous chronic ailments and elevates quality of life.
The Minister stressed that creating a health-conscious society demands involvement from all segments of the population. He urged both younger and older citizens to embrace fitness as a core commitment and to foster health-promoting practices within their families and communities.
Jupally Krishna Rao characterized sustained physical activity as a long-term investment in personal health. He concluded that making fitness a daily habit would strengthen society's overall health profile and foster improved well-being across the population.
