Jackie Shroff's Superhero Film Wins Praise From Tiger Shroff, Suniel Shetty and Industry Peers

The trailer for The Great Grand Superhero has struck a chord with audiences, blending elements of science fiction, nostalgic storytelling, and family-friendly adventure. The response has been particularly heartwarming from those in Jackie Shroff's inner circle, including his son Tiger Shroff and longtime industry associates.
Tiger Shroff, known for his own superhero role in A Flying Jatt, took to Instagram to amplify the trailer, expressing his support for his father's latest venture. In his post, he dubbed it a "killer trailer" and playfully wrote "Flying Jatt ka baap," a comment that resonated strongly with fans across social media.
Actor Suniel Shetty shared an emotionally charged message, describing Shroff's new superhero persona with affection. "Jaggu Dada as a superhero!!! Arre baba… for some of us, he's always been one. Now he's out there fighting aliens, winning hearts, and proving that grandfathers are the original superheroes," he wrote, reflecting the sentiment many have toward the veteran actor.
Filmmaker Subhash Ghai, who gave Shroff his breakthrough in Hero, expressed enthusiasm about the project on X, commending both the trailer's entertainment value and Shroff's new role. Actor Gulshan Grover similarly shared his anticipation, reposting the trailer and confirming his plans to see the film during its theatrical release.
The film represents a distinctive offering in Hindi cinema, combining elements of childhood imagination, familial bonds, extraterrestrial encounters, and superhero spectacle. Produced by Zee Studios and Amdavad Films, it is written and directed by Manish Saini, a three-time recipient of the National Film Award.
The ensemble cast includes Prateik Smita Patil, Bhagyashree, Sharat Saxena, Mihir Godbole, and Durgesh Kumar. The Great Grand Superhero arrives in cinemas on 29 May 2026.
