ISB Admits 839 Students to 2027 Batch as Business School Celebrates 25 Years

The Indian School of Business (ISB) has opened its doors to 839 students joining the Post Graduate Programme (PGP) Class of 2027, a milestone that arrives during the institution's 25th anniversary year. The new batch is split between the school's two primary locations, with 424 students enrolling at the Hyderabad campus and 415 at the Mohali facility.
This incoming cohort brings together early-career professionals and seasoned practitioners, with an average age of 26 and professional backgrounds spanning 2 to 18 years. The class demonstrates strong gender representation, with women making up more than 45% of the intake, fostering what the institution describes as a richly diverse educational setting.
The students come from across 12+ industries and represent 15 different functional specializations. Their professional backgrounds encompass sectors including information technology services, financial services, management consulting, digital commerce, media, and consumer goods. Beyond these mainstream sectors, the cohort includes individuals from the Armed Forces, government research organizations like ISRO and BARC, startup founders, and practitioners in medicine, law, engineering, and the arts.
Among the admitted students are several high-achievers, including those who have secured top rankings in national competitive examinations, accomplished athletes, and scholarship recipients. The diversity extends to their geographic origins and professional trajectories, reflecting ISB's global recruitment approach.
Financial support has been a significant component of the admissions process. ISB has committed scholarships valued at more than INR 12 crore to roughly 13% of the incoming class. These awards encompass merit-based recognition, combined need and merit considerations, and scholarships specifically designed to advance diversity objectives. The support packages range from partial coverage to full tuition fees and include dedicated funding for international diversity initiatives, military personnel, and programs backed by institutional partners.
Professor Deepa Mani, who oversees academic programmes as Deputy Dean at ISB, expressed enthusiasm about the new cohort. "We are delighted to welcome the PGP Class of 2027 to ISB. This cohort reflects the diversity, talent, and aspiration that define our global community. As ISB marks 25 years of shaping leaders and ideas, we look forward to supporting them in becoming thoughtful, responsible leaders who will create meaningful impact in a rapidly evolving world," she stated.
The institution has emphasized that the incoming class exemplifies its strategic priorities around talent acquisition and democratizing access to premier business education. The PGP curriculum, designed with input from industry practitioners, combines theoretical rigor with practical relevance, preparing graduates to function effectively in contemporary business landscapes marked by rapid transformation and complexity.
