Indiramma Housing Scheme Expands with New Dwellings in Mancherial District

Hyderabad — A batch of newly constructed homes under Telangana's Indiramma housing initiative was formally inaugurated on Monday in Rajaram and Kothapalli villages, located within Kotapalli mandal of Mancherial district.
State Labour, Employment, Mines and Geology Minister Gaddam Vivek Venkataswamy and Peddapalli Member of Parliament Gaddam Vamshi Krishna presided over the ribbon-cutting ceremony, which brought together beneficiary families, local officials, public representatives, and villagers.
The Indiramma scheme is designed to address housing shortages among economically disadvantaged populations by delivering permanent residential structures. Speaking at the event, Minister Venkataswamy outlined the Congress administration's vision of ensuring home ownership becomes a reality for all qualifying poor households. He characterised the initiative as evidence of the state's dedication to elevating living standards for lower-income communities, emphasising that secure housing would confer both material stability and personal dignity on recipient families. The minister reiterated the government's resolve to continue pursuing this objective across eligible populations.
MP Vamshi Krishna highlighted the state's emphasis on welfare-oriented and housing-focused programmes. He underscored the scheme's track record of assisting thousands of families in obtaining secure, permanent accommodation. According to the MP, the Indiramma programme extends beyond individual household improvement, contributing to wider social progress by raising housing quality for marginalised communities.
