New Delhi will host one of India's most significant education gatherings this June, as the Economic Times unveils the third iteration of its flagship summit dedicated to the sector's future.

Scheduled for June 11–12, 2026 at Yashobhoomi, the ETEducation Annual Education Summit 2026 carries the theme "India's Education Revolution: For the World, With the World." The event reflects India's emerging role as a global education leader, fuelled by transformative policy changes, technological breakthroughs, and an expanding student population.

The summit expects to draw more than 6,000 participants and feature over 200 speakers alongside 300+ education sector partners. The gathering will function as a forum for substantive engagement on matters spanning policy frameworks, teaching methodologies, and educational technology.

India is undergoing one of its most comprehensive education overhauls in decades. The National Education Policy 2020, representing the nation's first sweeping policy revision in more than thirty years, is reshaping how curricula are designed, how teaching occurs, how institutions operate, and how the country engages globally in the education space.

With approximately 250 million learners across schools and universities, coupled with a rapidly expanding EdTech sector, India's educational ecosystem increasingly influences international learning models. Across the country—spanning rural public schools to leading research institutions—initiatives centred on digital accessibility, artificial intelligence-driven customised learning, and workforce preparation are modernising educational spaces.

The two-day programme will feature 40+ focused sessions and panel discussions, private meetings with high-ranking government representatives, and an exhibition floor showcasing AI-enabled educational platforms and innovative classroom technologies. A dedicated platform will connect emerging EdTech ventures with institutional investors, while demonstrations, training workshops, and content from ET Studios will provide practical insights from international education specialists.

Central discussion areas will encompass the role of artificial intelligence and digital tools in education; translating NEP 2020 principles into classroom reality; preparing workforces for an economy projected to reach $5 trillion; fostering international academic partnerships; and advancing equity and quality education across all geographic regions and demographic groups.

The conference will convene senior administrators from government, academic institutions, and the corporate world. Confirmed participants include Sribharat Mathukumilli, a Member of Parliament representing Visakhapatnam in the Lok Sabha; Amitabh Kant, Chancellor of NIIT University and former leader of NITI Aayog; Sanjay Kumar, Secretary of the Department of School Education & Literacy; and Debashree Mukherjee, Secretary of the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship.

A cornerstone element of the summit, the Education Excellence Awards will honour exemplary schools, dedicated educators, and visionary innovators reshaping India's educational landscape. These awards establish benchmarks for quality and highlight successful models worthy of wider adoption.

As India's workforce expands by nearly 100 million workers through 2030, constructing an education system that balances fairness with global competitiveness has become increasingly urgent. Major platforms like this summit serve as crucial venues for connecting educational objectives with economic and social priorities.

With support from Google Cloud and Rabindranath Tagore University, and in partnership with Vertoz, the summit aims to convert dialogue into tangible progress, build cross-border collaborations, and cement India's standing in the global education arena. The third edition is positioned as the most comprehensive gathering to date—a pivotal moment for India's educational transformation.
