Hyderabad Police Arrest Two Men with Illegal Weapons in Interstate Operation

Two men have been arrested in Hyderabad following the recovery of illegal weapons during a coordinated police operation on Thursday.

The suspects, identified as Mudassir Hussain, also known as Shah Baba, and Ameer Khan, were detained near Mehfil Hotel in Mailardevpally while driving a Baleno car. The operation involved personnel from the Commissioner's Task Force, Jubilee Hills Zone, and the Mailardevpally Police.

Officers recovered two country-made pistols, seven rounds of ammunition, three mobile phones, and the vehicle from the accused. The seized items have been valued at approximately Rs. 5 lakh.

According to police statements, investigators believe the pair was preparing to commit serious crimes, potentially including robbery, using the recovered firearms. Both men have prior criminal records in different states, though authorities have not released specific details regarding these cases.

The operation was led by Inspector Ch. Yadander of the Jubilee Hills Zone Task Force, along with Sub-Inspector Mohd Jahed and personnel from the Commissioner's Task Force Jubilee Hills Team, in collaboration with Mailardevpally Police. The investigation remains ongoing as authorities gather additional evidence and information.
