Hyderabad Woman Dies by Suicide Following Dispute with Partner Over Phone Recharge

A tragic incident unfolded in Hyderabad's Jeedimetla locality when a woman identified as Kiranmayi ended her life at her home in Prashanth Nagar, located within Quthbullapur police limits. The death followed a heated argument with her partner, Venkatesh, also known as Chandu, over a mobile phone recharge.

Kiranmayi's mother filed a complaint with the police, prompting authorities to register a case and initiate an investigation into the circumstances surrounding her death.

Background and Personal History

Kiranmayi had entered into a love marriage in 2015, but the union eventually dissolved due to personal incompatibilities. The couple shares a son, who currently resides with Kiranmayi's mother. Following her separation, Kiranmayi pursued a beautician course in Kukatpally, completing it four years prior to the incident. She subsequently found employment with a private company in the same area.

It was at her workplace where Kiranmayi's acquaintance with Venkatesh began. What started as a professional connection gradually evolved into a romantic relationship. The two had been cohabiting in Prashanth Nagar for approximately one year.

Events Leading to the Incident

The circumstances that precipitated the tragedy began two days before the incident when Kiranmayi's mobile phone recharge expired. Unable to afford a recharge at the time due to pending salary payments, she sought financial assistance from Venkatesh. He declined her request, sparking a confrontation between the two on Friday.

While alone at her residence, Kiranmayi took her own life by hanging from a ceiling fan. Police have launched a full investigation based on the complaint lodged by her mother.
