Hyderabad Police Launch Search as POCSO Case Against Bandi Bhageerath Intensifies

Hyderabad authorities have intensified their search for Bandi Bhageerath after multiple posters appeared across the city indicating his absence following the registration of a Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) case against him.

The notices circulating throughout Hyderabad called on residents to report any sightings or information regarding his location to the nearest police station. According to law enforcement officials, Bhageerath's mobile phone has remained inactive for several days, prompting expanded search operations.

The case was formally registered by Pet Basheerabad police station after a minor girl lodged a complaint alleging sexual assault. The complainant's allegations prompted swift action from the state administration, with Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy personally reviewing the matter and instructing DGP CV Anand to accelerate investigative efforts.

In response to these directives, the DGP established a Special Investigation Team dedicated to examining the POCSO case. The investigative unit issued summons requiring Bhageerath to present himself for questioning at 2 pm on Wednesday.

The accused has since approached the Telangana High Court requesting anticipatory bail in connection with the allegations.
