Hyderabad Police Bust Drug Network, Arrest Peddler and Three Users

Authorities in Hyderabad have dismantled a drug distribution network operating across the city, resulting in the arrest of one supplier and three consumers.
The Hyderabad Narcotics Enforcement Wing and Panjagutta police jointly conducted the operation within Panjagutta police station jurisdiction on May 9. The action led to the seizure of 13.5 grams of MDMA and seven grams of Charas, with a combined estimated value of nearly Rs 1.40 lakh.
The primary accused, identified as Thakur R Keshav Raj Singh from Secunderabad, was apprehended during the operation. The three individuals arrested for drug consumption were Rohan Williams, Ayush Gupta, and Lakkireddy Nikhil Anurag.
According to investigators, Singh initially used narcotic substances himself before transitioning into drug trafficking to generate income. The accused allegedly supplied both MDMA and Charas to consumers throughout Hyderabad, with particular focus on nightlife venues and social gatherings frequented by young people.
The case has been registered under applicable provisions of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act at Panjagutta police station, with inquiries ongoing. Deputy Commissioner of Police Gaikwad Vaibhav Raghunath oversaw the operation.
Officials from the Hyderabad Narcotics Enforcement Wing have called upon parents and the general public to exercise vigilance regarding substance abuse trends among youth. They have also requested that citizens report any information concerning illicit drug activities to authorities.
