Telangana braces for intense heatwave as meteorologists issue alerts across multiple districts

The Meteorological Department has activated heatwave alerts across Telangana as meteorologists predict predominantly dry weather throughout the state on Monday.
Seven districts have been placed on alert status due to forecasts of severe hot winds. The affected areas are Rajanna Sircilla, Asifabad, Adilabad, Mancherial, Nirmal, Nizamabad and Jagtial. A yellow alert remains in effect, with officials urging the public to exercise precaution during the extreme heat conditions.
In neighbouring Andhra Pradesh, the Amaravati Meteorological Department anticipates a contrasting weather pattern. Light rainfall interspersed with thunderstorms is expected to develop across portions of the state. Isolated precipitation is likely to affect Manyam, Alluri, Polavaram, Chittoor, Anantapur and Kurnool districts.
North coastal Andhra Pradesh faces prolonged heat stress
The heatwave alert extends to the northern coastal regions of Andhra Pradesh, where meteorologists have flagged intensifying heat and hot wind conditions. In Srikakulam district, seven mandals have been identified as particularly vulnerable: Amadalavalasa, Burja, Hiramandalam, Kanchili, Nandigam, Pathapatnam and Sompeta.
Vizianagaram district faces similarly severe heat conditions across ten mandals. Weather officials have identified Badangi, Bobbili, Bondapalli, Dattirajeru, Gantyada, Merakamudidam, Ramabhadrapuram, Santakaviti, Terlam and Vangara as zones of concern.
In Manyam district, elevated temperatures are anticipated across eleven mandals: Balijipeta, Garugubilli, Gumma Lakshmipuram, Jiyyammavalasa, Komarada, Kurupam, Pachipenta, Palakonda, Salur, Seethampeta and Veeraghattam.
