HCLTech Unveils AI-Powered Finance Platform Built on Google Cloud's Gemini Enterprise

HCLTech, the multinational IT services firm, has unveiled a new autonomous finance platform designed to streamline core finance and accounting operations using Google Cloud's Gemini Enterprise technology.

The announcement addresses a persistent challenge in enterprise finance: despite substantial investments in ERP and SaaS systems, many organizations continue to depend on manual processes for critical financial workflows. The new platform seeks to bridge this gap by enabling finance operations to function with greater autonomy and intelligence while maintaining compatibility with existing enterprise systems.

Rather than relying on traditional automation or standalone AI implementations, the platform orchestrates complete finance processes end-to-end—managing Invoice-to-Pay, Order-to-Cash, Financial Planning & Analysis, and Record-to-Report workflows. The system executes tasks, learns from outcomes, and refines processes continuously, delivering faster execution, enhanced oversight, and tangible business results for finance teams.

The offering combines Google's Gemini Enterprise AI infrastructure and cloud security capabilities with HCLTech's expertise in finance operations, technology implementation, and domain-specific knowledge. The platform incorporates HCLTech's Industry AI Solutions framework, which deploys AI models tailored to particular sectors and business functions. It is built for enterprise-grade security and scalability, with an emphasis on rapid deployment and value realization.

"Digital platforms transformed finance record-keeping, but they did not fundamentally alter operational workflows," explained Upjit Ghuman, Executive Vice President and Global Head of BPO at HCLTech. "We have created an Agentic AI layer that sits atop existing customer infrastructure, allowing finance processes to operate with minimal human involvement. This frees finance leaders and CFOs to concentrate on strategic, judgment-based activities that generate genuine value."

Vijay Guntur, Chief Technology Officer and Head of Ecosystems at HCLTech, noted that the collaboration represents progress in scaling AI from pilot projects to enterprise deployment. "This partnership brings sophisticated AI capabilities together with real-world operational expertise, enabling solutions that organizations can confidently implement across essential business functions," he said.

Kevin Ichhpurani, President of Global Partner Ecosystem at Google Cloud, underscored the platform's capabilities: "Gemini Enterprise and our broader AI infrastructure are engineered to manage the sophisticated coordination that large global enterprises require. Built on this technology, HCLTech's platform merges specialized operational knowledge with proven technical excellence to convert critical business processes into autonomous, agent-driven systems."
