Fire Safety Drill Conducted at The Horizons Residences Before Construction Completion

Ghaziabad — In an unusual move for residential development, Harmony Infra Ventures organized a structured fire safety drill at The Horizons Residences in Indirapuram while the project remains in its early construction phase. The exercise, held on May 9, 2026, brought together senior government officials, fire department personnel, and prospective residents to participate in emergency preparedness training.
The decision to hold the drill before construction completion reflects a deliberate approach to safety planning. With Indigo Infra currently conducting excavation work at the site, the initiative demonstrates the developer's commitment to establishing safety protocols well in advance of resident occupancy.
Multiple government agencies participated in the event, underscoring the collaborative nature of fire safety management. Chief Fire Officer Rahul Pal of Ghaziabad attended alongside Police Representative Manish Sengupta and Subham Gupta, the Chowki Incharge at Shipra Suncity. This multi-departmental presence reflected the recognition that emergency preparedness involves coordination across several agencies.
Fire Station Officer Mulchand conducted the training session, covering practical topics including proper extinguisher operation, evacuation procedures, and essential safety guidelines for emergencies. Rather than limiting participation to observation, attendees actively handled fire extinguishers during a live demonstration, emphasizing hands-on learning.
H.S. Kandhari, Executive Director at Harmony Infra Ventures, addressed participants following the drill, emphasizing that safety culture must be established before residents arrive. "Safety culture is something you build with people — before they move in, not after. Today's drill is not a checkbox. It is a commitment. We want every resident of The Horizons Residences to know exactly what to do when it matters. That is what we are building towards," Kandhari stated.
The initiative stands out in the residential development sector, where fire preparedness typically becomes a focus only after residents move in or following incidents that force the issue. By introducing these protocols during the construction phase with emergency responders present, The Horizons Residences is taking an uncommon proactive stance.
The Horizons Residences comprises 264 units distributed across two towers, each rising 33 stories above ground level. The residential offerings include 4 BHK, 5 BHK, and 5 BHK Special Edition configurations, with pricing beginning at ₹5.99 crore. The development features The Club 264, a multi-level rooftop facility spanning approximately 6226.7 square meters, which includes an all-season infinity pool, spa and wellness amenities, fitness facilities, a star gazing dome, landscaped terrace gardens, and a café-bar. The project has completed RERA registration and obtained all necessary statutory approvals. Design work was completed by Atwin, with structural consultancy provided by Optimum Design and landscaping by Nostri Design.
Harmony Infra Ventures operates as a diversified infrastructure and development company based in North India. The organization's portfolio spans real estate, education, healthcare, FMCG, hospitality, and mixed-use developments.
