Hari Shankar Singhania School of Business Launches Third MBA Batch in Product Management

Jaipur's Hari Shankar Singhania School of Business (HSB) has welcomed its third batch of MBA students in Product Management, conducting a four-day orientation designed to equip them for their academic and professional pursuits.
The orientation immersed participants in HSB's distinctive educational framework, encompassing experiential learning methodologies, industry partnerships, leadership development, and forward-thinking management curricula. The program featured keynote addresses, interactive workshops, team-building exercises, academic overviews, and direct engagement with industry practitioners.
The incoming class comprises 40 students from across 12 states in India, representing varied academic credentials, professional backgrounds, and cultural perspectives. The batch composition reflects HSB's emphasis on diversity and inclusive leadership, with women comprising approximately 60% of the cohort and roughly one-third bringing prior professional experience.
Dr. Archana Shukla, Director of HSB, addressed the new students about the contemporary business environment. "Business today is being shaped by three forces: data, digital and AI. As a product leader and as a product manager, you need to be well versed with all the dimensions which relate to the product," she stated. She further noted that product management operates "at the intersection of technology, business, customer understanding and innovation."
The inaugural ceremony featured a keynote from Dr. Noopur Chaturvedi, Managing Director and CEO of NPCI Bharat BillPay Limited. Drawing on her experience in India's digital landscape, Dr. Chaturvedi encouraged students to cultivate curiosity, teamwork, and ongoing professional development. "Product management is all about solving problems," she remarked, advising graduates to develop proficiency with artificial intelligence, foster customer empathy, apply data-driven methodologies, and master the ability to lead teams without formal authority. She also stressed the importance of building robust professional networks and maintaining a commitment to lifelong learning.
Dr. Vijaya Sekhar Chellaboina, Vice Chancellor of JK Lakshmipat University, urged students to maintain adaptability within technology-driven sectors and to harness emerging innovations for meaningful impact while upholding personal values.
Prem Singh, President of Group HR at the JK Organisation and a member of HSB's governance body, highlighted the rising importance of product management across India's transforming business landscape. He emphasized that students should utilize their MBA years to identify their capabilities, strengthen self-management, and pursue challenging opportunities. "Your reputation travels miles ahead of you," he noted, underscoring that while professional roles and employers may shift, character and integrity remain fundamental to sustained career advancement.
The orientation curriculum balanced academic preparation with hands-on learning experiences. Dr. Shukla facilitated a session titled "Unlocking Potential," exploring how individuals can leverage their personality traits for optimal performance. Additional interactive modules—"Unmasking You," "Ignite the Spark," and "One Team One Dream," conducted by Vibrant Dots—helped students cultivate self-awareness, collaborative capabilities, and team unity.
HSB also delivered sector-specific workshops, including one led by Col. Rajiv Bhargava on personal branding, focusing on professional growth, market competitiveness, and leadership visibility.
As India's first dedicated full-time MBA in Product Management, HSB operates with curriculum developed jointly with industry partners, employs experiential teaching methods, and maintains strong corporate collaborations. Grounded in the 140-year heritage of the JK Group, the two-year residential program aims to cultivate leaders prepared to create innovative products, catalyze organizational transformation, and generate sustainable impact in technology-driven markets.
The orientation concluded with a closing ceremony and group engagement sessions, setting the stage for students' transition into their roles as emerging product and business leaders.
