In May 2026, Habuild unveiled "Digital Maa-stery Week," a week-long program aimed at fostering digital empowerment among women, particularly mothers and those encountering smartphones for the first time. The initiative seeks to address a persistent gap between digital access and the confidence needed to use these tools independently.

Rather than functioning as a traditional technology training program, the initiative tackles a specific behavioral challenge: many women rely on family members to handle routine digital transactions and services. The program encourages participants to transition from this dependency to self-reliant digital engagement through structured, practical learning.

The seven-day curriculum covers essential digital competencies including smartphone functionality, digital payment systems like UPI, online shopping and healthcare services, booking platforms, and navigation tools. Equally important, the program teaches participants to recognize and avoid online scams while developing robust digital safety practices. The curriculum also demystifies artificial intelligence, presenting it as a practical assistive tool for everyday applications such as writing, translation, and personal learning.

Saurabh Bothra, CoFounder of Habuild, explained the reasoning behind the initiative: "We often overlook how reliant we become on others for basic digital tasks—making payments, booking services, or learning new applications. Digital Maa-stery Week is not simply about technical instruction. It centers on building confidence through consistent, manageable actions. Once that confidence develops, it fundamentally shifts how individuals interact with their surroundings. Habuild was conceived with mothers at its core, driven by a single purpose: simplifying life for our mothers. Digital Maa-stery represents another step toward that goal."

The initiative recognizes that while digital adoption has accelerated across India, a significant disparity persists between having access to technology and feeling capable of using it. The program addresses this confidence gap through repetitive practice, straightforward explanations, and examples drawn from daily life. This approach helps participants gradually move from receiving assistance with digital tasks to managing them autonomously.

By timing the program around Mother's Day, Habuild frames digital learning not as abstract technical education but as a pathway to greater autonomy and empowerment within households and beyond. The initiative emphasizes real-world digital behaviors that are frequently delegated within families, such as managing online transactions, accessing services, and using communication platforms.
